Me. First tears. And then oh so many more came.

Would I Recommend It?

Burning Solas. Hel yes! I’m 100% on the Sarah J. Maas bandwagon.

Thoughts:

Around page 580 my exact thought was, “Maas, you have little over 200 pages to fix the sh*tstorm mess you’ve created.” She answered me with nearly 200 hundred pages of crying until my face ran raw with tears.

I almost thought I was gonna be an exception to the majority of readers who have shared videos of their traumatic page turning with tears stinging their eyes as they recapped the book. I thought that maybe I’m just not that invested in the characters even though I was thoroughly enjoying their story. And then it all hit like a fricken’ massive train wreck.

Maas had me crying during a fight scene. Then another. And another! Who does that?!? Good fantasy writers do, that’s who!

I cried over the tiniest little line: “Then let the world know that the first act of freedom was to help my friends.”

So much character shown through in the last pages of this book that I was absolutely stunned by what came to light.

Thank you to two of my friends! Timi, for gifting me this book. Julee, for sharing the tears and the fetishes (we’ll just go ahead and call them that).
